Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the broth, cumin, paprika, tomatoes, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the cooked grains and diced cooked meat to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve warm. Enjoy!
